Latest Travel Guidelines for Malaysians in 2022

• Wearing masks outdoors is optional, but it is encouraged. Places marked under high-risk require masks as well as physical distancing. 
• For traveling to Sabah and Sarawak, travelers are required to follow the rules mentioned by the State Disaster Management Committee. 
• Malaysia has also opened its borders with Singapore, and traveling by buses and taxis has been resumed for fully vaccinated passengers. 
• Fully vaccinated individuals and children below 12 years traveling from Singapore will not be required to undergo tests and quarantine.

• Passengers who have recently recovered from the virus within 6-60 days don’t have to undergo quarantine. 
• Children below 12 years of age do not require quarantine. 
• If a traveler tests positive, then a quarantine of 7 days is compulsory. There is an option of taking the RTK-Antigen test on the 4th day to check if the passenger has fully recovered. The recovered passengers can then be released from quarantine. 
• The passengers must bear the quarantine expenses, including the test fee, stay, food, and handling charges. 
• Individuals travelling to Malaysia must download the MySejahtera app and register before their departure. A traveler card will be issued that is supposed to be shown on arrival at the airport. 
• Sejahtera app will not be scanned in public places except the high-risk zones.
